The DmC series is back! This time it's a reboot of the series, so forget everything you knew about past DmC games. You take on the role of Dante, a half demon half angel. Throughout the game you will be fighting demons to rid the world of their control, so there can be freedom. If you enjoy hack 'n' slash games, this might be a good pick for you!
The platinum isn't easy, but it isn't impossible either. You have to complete the game at least 6 times to get the platinum, as you have to play each difficulty in order to unlock the next one. You have to complete it on Human, Son of Sparda, Dante Must Die, Heaven and Hell, Hell and Hell and Nephilim. All of them are unique in their own way, such as in Hell and Hell you die in one hit, whereas in Heaven and Hell you kill demons in one hit but also die in one hit. That is the bulk of the game in terms of trophies. There are also trophies for collecting all the collectibles; 80 Lost Souls, 21 Keys and 21 Doors. If you follow the Collectible Guide you should have no trouble finding all of them.
The prices of items increase every time you buy one. Save your devil trigger and vital stars for Son of Sparda or Dante Must Die. Also feel free to spend your Gold Orbs during boss fights. On Heaven or Hell and Hell and Hell you will automatically get 3 gold orbs at every checkpoint so that you have three lives.
Step 1: Complete the game on Human difficulty
The first step is pretty much just to complete the game, don't worry about trophies for now. Just enjoy the storyline and this awesome game!
You cannot get all the lost souls, keys and doors on the first run because you won't have the weapons and upgrades to do so. Just focus on learning the controls and the combos you like best; mixing attacks up has the best results. This step should only take about 6 hours or so if you watch the cutscenes. One thing you should look out for in this are the mission specific trophies and other miscellaneous trophies, but you will more than likely get some of them in your other playthroughs anyway.
Step 2: Complete the Son of Sparda difficulty, collect all the collectibles and complete all secret missions
The second step is to complete the game on Son of Sparda, this is just a rise in difficulty and is not that hard at all. You also want to collect all of the collectibles in this step: there are 80 Lost Souls, 21 Keys and 21 Doors. Follow the Collectible Guide for all their locations. Some of the doors require keys from later missions, so you will need to do some backtracking here and there. Just replay the missions you are missing doors on after collecting all the other collectibles or do it on your Dante Must Die playthrough. Don't spend too many items on this playthrough. You might want to save them for Dante Must Die to make your life a little easier later on.
The next part is completing all 21 secret missions, all are fairly easy. These can be accessed from the main menu or by going through the secret doors in the story.
Step 3: Complete the game on Dante Must Die
This difficulty is the hardest part of the game. It's an extreme version of Son of Sparda. Enemy spawns are even more extreme and enemies can go into devil trigger mode. Enemies can take even more damage and you die more quickly. In this step you can make use of all your health and devil trigger items as well as gold orbs. After Dante Must Die you will unlock infinite Devil Trigger anyway and on the remaining difficulties you die in one hit. Save the items for the end of the game if you can. Mission 16 and 17 are the hardest and the Vergil bossfight might also require some devil trigger stars. After this step you will earn "Super Dante" which gives you infinite devil trigger for upcoming playthroughs.
Step 4: Complete the game on Heaven and Hell
Note: Make sure you enable 'Super Dante' in the Skins/Perks screen. This will make this playthrough much easier as you'll have unlimited devil trigger. To unlock this you must complete the Dante Must Die difficulty.
This is the easist difficulty in the game. All enemies die in one hit and now that you have completed Dante Must Die you will have infinite devil trigger. Really all you need to do is to activate devil trigger by pressing + and shoot enemies with your pistol. This playthrough is the fastest one and will just take a few hours. Do not worry if you are being hit. You don't need to buy gold orbs, they automatically refill at every checkpoint and are completely free! Therefore you actually have three lives and can take three hits.
Step 5: Complete the game on Hell and Hell
Note: Make sure you enable 'Super Dante' in the Skins/Perks screen. This will make this playthrough much easier as you'll have unlimited devil trigger. To unlock this you must complete the Dante Must Die difficulty.
This is the highest difficulty in the game. Enemies have full health and you die in one hit. Your Gold Orbs refill at every checkpoint, so that you have three lives. Always use your infinite devil trigger. After activating devil trigger, enemies will be floating in the air and you can finish them off with air combos or keep shooting them for a while. During boss fights you will definitely need the gold orbs, so try to save them for there. Also activate devil trigger during boss fights, as you will deal a lot more damage then and the fights become a lot easier. See this thread if your having trouble with any of the bosses:
DmC: Devil May Cry - Hell and Hell Boss Walkthroughs
Step 6: SSS Ranks on Nephilim
You will be a DmC pro now after all those playthroughs, so getting SSS ranks on Nephilim won't be that hard. Don't use items, don't use super Dante, don't die, do long combos without being hit and beat the levels very quickly to get the overall SSS rank. If you do get hit but want to keep your SSS combo, press and quit to the main menu. This way it doesn't count as a death and you'll still have your combo. You will automatically get SSS rank for the completion stat as you already have all the collectibles.

Vergil Must Die Video Walkthrough
Introduction:
Vergil's Downfall acts as a sort of epilogue to the main game, in that it follows Vergil in his fall from grace immediately after the events of DmC Devil May Cry. The DLC is 6 missions long, so it's roughly a third of the length of the main game, making it a decent length. Trophy-wise, it replicates the main game, forcing you into 6 playthroughs. None of these should be particularly difficult if you're half decent in combat in DmC. Overall, it is a worthwhile investment, if you're willing to play through it half a dozen times.
Step 1: Complete Vergil's Downfall on any difficulty, collecting all Lost Souls, Health Cross Fragments and Health Crosses.
First things first, you'll want to complete the DLC on any difficulty. I personally played on Devil Hunter, as I wanted to experience a little bit of a challenge. Unlike the main game, you can obtain all collectibles in the first playthrough, so it is recommended you do so. Don't be too concerned if you miss any in your first playthrough though, as there'll be plenty of time to collect them - I did most of the collectibles during my second playthrough.
Other than the collectibles, simply use the first playthrough to adapt to Vergil's unique style of combat and to enjoy Vergil's branching story.
Upon completing Step 1, you will earn:
You don't belong here
Our souls are at odds brother
Might controls everything
Step 2: Complete Vergil's Downfall on Son of Sparda difficulty.
Upon completing the DLC on Human, Devil Hunter or Nephilim difficulty, you'll unlock Son of Sparda difficulty. This is essentially a slightly harder version of Nephilim difficulty, with remixed enemy spawns. This shouldn't prove too difficult, as all the upgrades you gained in your first playthrough will prove very beneficial. If you missed any collectibles in your first playthrough, now is the time to clean them up. Try to avoid using any items during this playthrough, as you'll want any you have for Vergil Must Die difficulty.
Upon completing Step 2, you will earn:
Step 3: Complete Vergil's Downfall on Vergil Must Die difficulty.
Now comes what is probably the hardest part of the DLC. Vergil Must Die difficulty is unlocked upon completing the DLC on Son of Sparda difficulty. Enemies become once again stronger with remixed enemy spawns, plus they also get their own Devil Trigger, which can make them immensely powerful if they have a chance to activate it. Use all the items you have to get through this playthrough, as you won't require any items in your last three playthroughs.
Completing the DLC on Vergil Must Die difficulty will unlock Super Vergil, a costume that gives you infinite Devil Trigger (at the cost of 50% of mission score). This can prove very beneficial for both the Heaven or Hell and Hell and Hell difficulties.
Upon completing Step 3, you will earn:
I've come to retrieve my power
Step 4: Complete Vergil's Downfall on Nephilim difficulty with SSS ranks.
I've listed this as Step 4 as it'll be immediately after playing the hardest difficulty, so you should be well adjusted to enemy attack patterns and your own arsenal. Feel free to do this at any stage, however.
Attaining SSS ranks shouldn't prove too difficult for you if you've managed to complete the other difficulties; just make sure to not die, don't use any items and use a variety of attacks. If you do this and complete the missions relatively quickly, SSS ranks will be easy to achieve.
Do note that if you use Super Vergil for this, Super Vergil incurs a 50% score deduction. SSS ranks are still possible when using Super Vergil though, just as long as you abuse Spiral Sword to maintain SSS-Sensational Style ratings.
Upon completing Step 4, you will earn:
Step 5: Complete Vergil's Downfall on Heaven or Hell difficulty.
Heaven or Hell difficulty is unlocked by completing Son of Sparda difficulty, and it is the easiest difficulty in the game. Both Vergil and enemies die in 1 hit. Simply plough through the difficulty, as you shouldn't have any problems at all. If you want, you can use Super Vergil for infinite Devil Trigger, as this will allow you to spam the likes of Spiral Sword, which will take out a pack in an instant.
Upon completing Step 5, you will earn:
Step 6: Complete Vergil's Downfall on Hell and Hell difficulty.
Lastly we have Hell and Hell difficulty, unlocked by completing the DLC on Heaven or Hell difficulty. Hell and Hell is similar to Heaven or Hell in that Vergil will still die in one hit, but the enemies will have normal health. If you decide to use Super Vergil, then this should be a non-issue.
Upon completing Step 6, you will earn:
