Introduction:

Thomas Was Alone is a 2D platformer developed for the pc and Mac by Mike Bithell and adapted to the ps3 and the Vita by Curve Studios. Thomas is a block, and contrary to what the title suggest, he is not alone. Instead, you get to play with several different-shaped blocks, each with their own name, personality and powers. They are stuck in some sort of matrix, and their only goal is to find a way out. But to do that, they will need to cooperate and trust each other. As you play through the game, a narrator tells you the story of each of the blocks you play with.

Step 1: Play through the game

This game provides 100 unique levels, divided over 10 chapters. You will be playing with various blocks though increasingly complex environments. When you finish the last chapter, you will obtain the only gold trophy in this game, being Thomas Was Not Alone. Along the way you will most likely obtain the trophies for jumping 1600 times, dying 100 times and bouncing off Laura 100 times. You will probably also get most of the collectible trophies, as the majority of the collectibles are very easy to spot. They look like small black canvases and are usually close to the route you need to take but don't stress out if you miss any, as the game provides a chapter select option, called "scenario select", through which you can conveniently select every single one of the 100 levels.

Step 2 (optional): Collect the remaining collectibles

By the time you finish step 1, you will probably have found most of the collectibles. For the ones you missed, simply select the respective levels through "scenario select".

Step 3 (optional): Mop up the remaining trophies

In the odd case that you haven't obtained their respective trophies yet, you can use this step to perform the remaining jumps, bounces and deaths, which shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

15 trophies ( 13  )

  • Finish the game.

Simply play through all 100 levels and this trophy is yours.

  • Jump 1600 times.

This sounds like a small grind but I can assure you that you will most likely have this trophy before you finish the game, as jumping is the main thing that you will be doing in this game so jump like your life depends on it.

  • Find all trophy pickups in the game.

There are 20 collectibles in this game, 2 in each chapter. As soon as you have all 10 bronze collectible trophies, this trophy will pop too.

Here's a video by MrVuule (same footage as the screenshots above):

Warning: It seems that this trophy has glitched for some people, due to their game not registering every pickup collectible (even when they have obtained all the respective bronze trophies). In case this does glitch on you, play through the levels again that have a pickup collectible to find the one(s) that hasn't registered, as it is likely that it will still be there. Try to finish the level after collecting a pick-up. Also, try to stick with either the PS3 or the Vita version to avoid the glitch from occurring (don't play both at once).

  • Die 100 times.

This should come naturally over time, but if you happen to be too good at platforming to die that much, you can simply let your character die 100 times at the same spot. A good place to do that would be level 3.5, where there's a spawn point right above some water. Just wait 2 minutes and the trophy is yours.

  • Bounce on Laura 100 times.

Laura is the pink stretched rectangular block, who you can bounce off of. The earliest opportunity to get this trophy is on level 3.2, where you play as Laura and Chris. Just have Chris jump on Laura and let him bounce for 2 minutes, after which you will have another easy trophy.
