Homefront: The Revolution is a rather different prospect to its predecessor, 2011's Homefront, with a new developer at the helm and a reset timeline that bears little relation to that seen in the first game. It's not a direct sequel, so could be considered something of a clean slate for the Homefront franchise.
Eschewing Homefront's linear FPS design in favour of an open-world Philadelphia in which the occupying Korean People's Army keep the populace in check beneath its oppressive jackboots, The Revolution is looking to bring guerrilla warfare to the fore, while weaving a new story.
Having checked out the game (give our hands-on preview a read here), we sat down with Senior Narrative Designer CJ Kershner to get some more insights into Homefront: The Revolution, including possible Far Cry influences, common elements from the first game, multiplayer and loads more. Get the lowdown below.
Homefront: The Revolution is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in early 2016.
