LEGO Marvel's Avengers will be with us later this month, so we recently caught up with developer TT Games to chat about its latest in a long line of LEGO titles. This one is a sort of sequel to LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, but rather than using the comic books as source material, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is front and centre.

That won't stop the dev from expanding far beyond the MCU, however, with the biggest roster of characters TT Games has created yet. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes had 150+ characters, whereas LEGO Marvel's Avengers will apparently clock in at over 200.

Despite that huge number, some core Marvel faces (Spider-Man, for one) will be absent, which is a shame. Find out why some iconic Marvel characters won't make the cut, and how TT Games is looking to provide "new things" for the fans. LEGO Marvel's Avengers is out on 29th January 2016. Get our video preview here.

  • It'd be cool to have an RPG lego game now that would be new.
  • That `New things` comment I agree is hilarious but I'm happy with the way things stay the same anyway.currently playing Lego Clone wars on ps3 and love it! Looking forward to this too!
